Wow Keith that is beautiful. My parents had a 59 Rambler sedan they drove from Illinois to California.

The thing is so ugly that you have to love it. It seems to be a little pricey though.

Mike -
We did a Wisco to California in Pops 70 Vista. I always made sure to sit on the drivers side rear passenger because Dad's cuff in the head could only reach the middle rear, and passenger rear, easily while driving when we got out of hand... until stopped. By then most times he calmed down. yes we were brats. Holy schnikeies cross country with 4 boys and a few bucks to get there... bless their hearts. Good memories!

I too owned a 59 Rambler wagon. It was one step below the Ambassador. It was a Custom Cross Country wagon. With AC even. It was super clean. Also had the push button automatic. Cream with a gold stripe and a cream black and gold interior. I have been looking for pictures.

That's a beauty! Reminds me of the days of Boeske Brothers Rambler dealership in Maynard Ma. I hung around that dealership in my teens. Great times.

I found Mom's accounting notes for a 2 week trip from Louisiana to Arizona in 1971. She might have spent $10 on food for that entire trip with 5 kids and 2 adults.

That is amazing that you found the notes, bet it brought back some neat memories. Thanks for sharing. When we went camping, we had 5kids too Sis did not go on that trip, we would share a pound of bacon, Dad is 88 now and he will bring it up now and again and wishes he could have given us more...I reassure he gave us plenty.

I hope he gets his asking price Greg, it looks like he has been a good caretaker
