Museum piece. Should do well in Top Flight, McLellan, Bow-Tie and (maybe) PVA awards right out of the gate, dust, paint blems an all. Thats C2, C3 L71/L72/L89 money IMO. Not yet at L88, ZL1... yet...Crazy.

I am not really a Vette fan, and that made me laugh

I like Vettes, however the smog era did not garner any performance and they were ugly.

This one is an L82 that had a steel crank and forged pistons. For the time it was about as good as it got. I would have never thought this car would bring this kind of price but it is one of one and the market has spoken. There was a 78 Pace Car with about 4 miles on it that sold a couple years ago in the auction of all those Chevrolets at that closed dealership in Iowa or wherever it was. I think it brought six figures. There are 31 bidders and 69 bids on this car. Price is determined by willing buyer and willing seller so the market is speaking. I put it on my watch list. It will be interesting to watch.

Could buy a nice C2 or early C3 for that cash. The crazy bidders have spoken.
