I have always like those cars. I think they are awesome looking. You are fortunate it doesn't have a vinyl top and all the rust that goes with it. What an unusual car with the 3-speed. I bet there weren't a dozen made with a 3-speed. Your price seems very reasonable. Good luck with your sale.
I may do a 4 spd swap if it doesn't sell.......and if you don't mind, I will be happy to pick your brain. I was hoping for a straight bolt in but i suppose that is too much to ask for. Would drop an M20 or 21 in there, that is what the 4 spd cars had.
I certainly would keep the 3-speed and shifter in storage if I did this. As much as I like 4 speeds, I probably would not change it since it is so rare. Out of 277, it is probably the only survivor. RARE
Thanks for the info Diego........what car do you own?
I have seen pics of 2 other 3 speed cars that are still in existence, one is green, the other maroon.

Great car!
If that was a '71, I wouldn't be able to get over to your house fast enough - I'm partial to the styling on the '71-'72s. The few '71 4 speeds on the market always seem to be missing their original engines.
Good luck with the sale.

Always liked the 69-72 GP's.
Some day I wanna take a 71/2 & do it up with a 69/70 style front end.
thank you Pack Rat!
someone had a 71-2 at Carlisle last year for sale, white or blue, converted to a convertible........it was one of the nicest cars I have ever seen.
My '69 G.P. is a Model J. It has only 9k. I think they call it Burnished Brown metallic (green if sunny/brown if cloudy) with white pearl interior. I remember working at the gas station and filling this car up in the 80's.
It's about as nice as brown gets.
Greatest looking Pontiacs the 69-72 Grand Prix . Used to see a lot of 71-72s around in the late 80s and then they all disappeared. Saw a 69 car in a junkyard with SSJ 428 badges go to the crusher around 1989. No motor and trans. Light green with dark green interior.

I know where there is a highly optioned '69 428 HO car, limelight grn/vinyl top/dark grn interior, window sticker, AT........sitting in storage. Super straight car, owner is not willing to sell right now. I tried last July, he said he'd let me know.........
SSJ 428 Grand Prix to the crusher circa 1989
We hope but doubtful. A good Pontiac enthusiast or anybody appreciative of muscle cars period wouldn't send a good rolling chassis to the crusher even then. The rear end was still under it and from what I read SSJs had 3.55 rear ends? More than likely somebody that put the engine in something else and blew the engine. Around 5 years earlier I overheard a story in high school home room about somebody pulling a 428 out of a late 60s Grand Prix and putting it in a 73 Grand Prix and being disappointed it only ran 17 seconds. I remembered that story when I saw this car in 1989 and wondered if it was the same car but that would have been along time for something to be sitting around and the 69 SSJ looked in great condition and wasn't weathered. We all see how many 73-77 Colonades went to the crusher. For such high production cars the Colonades seemed to get to the crusher the most per capita of production numbers. Probably less than them around now that 72 and earlier cars. In this vein of a lost 69 SSJ I'm also reminded of a burgundy 70 Cultass SX I saw in that same junkyard in those days shortly after somebody had put a 305 Chevy engine in it!!! I guy working on the SX said it came in with a 350 Olds short block in it and some boy wanted a Chevy motor in it. Some time afterwards I passed this Cutlass SX stalled on the road in my black 72 Cutlass town sedan 4dr. I do know the original 455 out of that SX survived and is still running in it's second 66 Cutlass.
