I got a good one going on.. a 1974 AMC Hornet 4 door sedan, with a Vortec headed/mildly built 350 chevy engine, a MY6 3 spd. overdrive stick shift...[yes, it's a truck trans. Essentially an A833 dodge 3 spd. OD trans. in a chev case. Same ratios as a TH700R4] going to a Ford 9" rear with 4.11 gears. On these are Dodge full size van rims. Yes, it's an AMC .. or .. All Motors Combined. It started life as a 232 with AT, but that was way too boring. My intent is/was to recreate the Mad Max Yellow Interceptor car. The car is factory yellow with the tan interior. I even grafted the roof spoiler on, as in the movie. It still need the chrome spoke wagon wheels and the rest of the red and blue paint.

However, the car will be going up for sale as an untimely family matter forces the sale of the car. I'll be posting a video on youtube soon, to help advertise and sell the car. Comes with all sorts of extra stuff, including the scooped hood and ram air air cleaner set-up. Cheers, Mike

As always my Cutlass is first on the list to fix, but if I can make a little money on the side. Then why not.
My fave 460 is the 70 lincoln with rocker studs. After bending a few I put in BB chevy studs ...

I like all the makes but I grew up in a Ford town , Lorain , Oh. ...

We all have plenty to do but I have to make time to help my friend with his 20' Wellcraft boat. It a great time on the lake but it's nice to make it back to the dock.

I have a 68 Cougar but it has to wait for a couple of other little projects to get done before we actually start taking everything apart(Hopefully within a month). I already have a 460 block and a couple pairs of heads and a few cranks to pick from.

Sorry, this thread is so old I must have missed this part.
It ended up being bad gas. I had to drain my new tank, fuel lines, and fuel rails.

New project is Piecing together my custom stereo setup in the same car.

My 10" sealed custom sub box I just made with the Boston Acoustics sub.
Top is wider for carriage bolt supports, bottom is wider because it's 2 amp trays.
This will hang from under my package tray in my trunk. Same setup going in the Olds 2011.

Custom package tray I just made out of hardboard and premium vinyl because the OER package trays are crap.

No pics, but I'm always working on my Alero. I know it's an Olds, but it's got the 60* V6 engine which is a Chevy based motor.

I have on the engine right now:

Stage 2 P&P upper and lower manifolds
Headers & Full Exhaust
Cold air intake that I convert to a warm air for daily street use
mild P&P heads
>>> milled .020 roughly 9.7:1 CR
>>> 3500 valves
>>> 3 angle valve job
>>> LS6 springs

Sitting in my closet:
bottom end 3400 motor with 159,xxx miles
narrowed SBC rods

waiting on:
Comp Cams camshaft
259/265 adv duration
210/216 .050" duration
.506"/.506" lift @ 1.6:1 Rocker Ratio
113 Intake Center Line
114 Lobe Seperation Angle

going to get:
double roller timing chain (crank had to be modified for this)
crank scraper
Diamond forged pistons, looking at .020 over and 10.5 : 1 CR

some other things that I can't think of right now

I picked up this very clean '76 Chrysler Cordoba this summer. Only 43,000 miles, 2nd owner car from Texas. Not a rich Corinthian leather interior it has the velour seats with the **** carpeting. I call it the Austin Powers model.

Oh great, now I will have Ricardo Montalban's voice in my head all day telling me the virtues of the "rich Corinthian leather" In 1976 my girlfriend wanted a Cordoba sooooooooooooo bad, I almost traded my 74 Cuda' in on one.
Nice car though, brings back memories from the "Bicentennial Era"

I thought they were some of the better looking cars of that era. I see one every so often at a car show. Like most cars from the mid seventies most seem to have disappeared.

I had a Mopar or die buddy build one all stock on the outside with a built 440 on the bottle. He had a lot of fun with that tank.

my current build has me pretty far away from Oldsmobile for the next 2 or 3 months. i am building another 3 wheeler. here is a video of me cutting an almost new (about 20 hours) Honda TRX450 ER in half to build a new 3 wheeler.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFIox72_e78

this is what i will have after it is done.

I have a 1969 Camaro that I currently have in pieces in my garage waiting for me to finish up welding sheet metal.

I also have a 1969 Biscayne that awaits after that.

I too have a sickness.

70 GTO Convertible - Getting close to the end after six years of work. I attached a pic of the frame with the drivetrain installed and a pic of the first fitting of the doors after paint. It's a bit further along now but I don't have any current pics on this computer - the doors are on, trunklid and wing are on, all the glass is in and the power windows are wired up, the top is on, exhaust is on, dynamat and carpet are in, etc.

Once I recover from the GTO, I'm going to tinker with my 67 Vista. It's a three seater wagon with 330 4v and factory AC. It's not much to look at, but I like it. In fact, I'm going to try to get it cranked up next week while I have some time off from work. I've had the original 330 soaking in Marvel Mystery Oil for a while now and it isn't frozen up so I'm hoping I can get it to fire up. The guy I got it from never had it running and he told me it had been sitting at the original owner's place for years. Anyway, somewhere down the road, I'm thinking of converting it to factory appearing bucket seat, 4 speed trans and console setup. I think that would be pretty cool.

Cool project! I have a 69 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed w/build sheet and a 72 Chevelle SS 402 4 speed, cowl induction, gauges/tach, etc. that is #'s matching but have not found a build sheet yet. I also have a 1970 Monte Carlo SS 454 that I just found the build sheet on this past thursday the 23rd still on top of the gas tank after more than 41 years! I also have a 69 Camaro RS 327 4 speed that is going to get the LS1/6speed that is waiting for it over in the corner of the shop. I have a few others as well but all of these need restored. I have a couple guys interested in the 72 SS so I may sell it and put that money towards some of my Olds!

I've got a '70 model Chevy C-10 pickup that I bought from an old friend earlier this year. It was his grandpa's truck, and we used to drive it around when we were 15-18 yrs old. I lost touch with him in the late '80's but found him again on facebook. To make a long story short, I ended up with the truck, which had sat since the early '90's. I brought it home, changed fluids, got it running, replaced the brakes and tires. I still need a fuel tank and a few other parts, but it's a driver/parts hauler for now. It will receive a frame off once I'm through with the Delta Custom project.

I guess I am as bad as the rest of you guys. lets see, current and ongoing projects:

1969 Camaro Rally Sport (for my oldest girl)

1965 Mustang Fastback (for my youngest girl)

1982 Eagle Bus being converted to a motor coach (so I can tell everyone to kiss off
and hit the road)

1970 Wesco 18' Flatbottom V-Drive boat

1970 Cutlass SX convertible (my car bought in 1982)

all these projects were so easy to finish in my head. hope I live to be 100 so maybe something gets finished.

I just assembled and installed a new chevy 355 and a 5 speed overdrive and put it in a 34 Ford coupe. (Not mine, I'm always doing jobs for everyone else) Lots of access room to work with! I wanted to take it out for a test drive but we got 18" of fresh powder yesterday.
