Angry Accelerator cable

My ‘70 Chevelle 396 auto with Quick fuel 750, the accelerator cable “hangs up” a small amount when I let off the gas(300-400 RPM’s) No obvious kinks or sharp bends. Has anyone had any success with graphite or anything else. This is an aftermarket cable...

Cables aren't that expensive and pretty easy to install. Take it loose from the carb and operate the cable, if you feel a little binding just replace it.
