1965 big car parts wanted

I need a driver side front fender, trunk trim piece, nicer armrests and taillights for my Ninety Eight. The interior pieces as well as the taillights are model specific, but any Eighty Eight, Jetstar, Dynamic fender will do.
Man, did I grab the wrong car. This seems to be the only time cheap isn't much of a help. 50K mile car from florida with the interior and ragtop baked off. Straight and rust free (minus the driver fender) and I can't find parts. Mot even crummy ones! Thanks for looking folks.

Among the search results, I see some Ninety-Eight taillights and the trunk trim piece (on Friday, Oct 7th, 2011 at 1:22PM EST at least!).

Also these taillights looks esp. nice, chrome-wise, though are not what I would call "cheap":

I suggest a regular check of Ebay; bigger parts like sheetmetal can be pricey to ship, but as you said, are not going to be found locally in most cases.

Alienstate, thanks for the input. I did check all 67 pages of parts for sale, the big car parts are few and far between and I did reach out to all of them. Nada...zip. I look at ebay all the time too but these boats, I don't get it especially the 65, is like made of unobtanium. I'm putting my request front and center just in case someone with an old tank that thinks its worth only the crusher may think again. I can find parts all day long for my '71 Cutlass and 69 GS400 convertbles. This is ridiculous. steve e

Welcome to normality! Parts are reproduced all day long for the Cutlasses, but nothing of body and trim parts are made for any full-size Oldsmobile. You have to find NOS or used parts. It's very hit or miss. As you say, finding another car like yours and buying it to use as a source of parts is one possibility.

dont loose hope. im working on our own 65' olds 98, and you wouldn't beleive how much of a fight that car can put up... i call it my elenore (gone in 60 seconds) it has tries to kill us from time to time, and fights everything, but everyone loves it. it didn't run for 6 MONTHS, and after countless hours, i FINALLY got it running... and it blew the trans leaving our neighborhood for the first time... as long as your luck doesn't get that bad, just keep going.

by the way, we have a shop, so we got a racing trans built, but STILL, that hurt soooooo bad. i will post pics (to hopefully keep you going) friday when it gets done in paint. i know a few people, and i will ask around and see if i can find parts for you, if you want.

Hey Steve,

You might want to try Fremans Auto in Whitehall Montana.

I needed a drivers side fender for my '66 Delta and got a real nice one from Neil Freman. It was $235.00 (just over 2 yrs ago) plus he shipped it via Greyhound for $95.00 all the way from Montana to my pick-up spot in Maine.
www.fremansauto.com

He shows 8, 1965 Olds in stock so chances are he has what you need. He's not a fast shipper due to being so busy, and he's upfront about that.

Hope this is helpful

I have a 65 olds 98 Holiday Coupe with a brand new interior (7years ago) still looks new, dual exhaust and a 425 which runs well. I have owned it for 14 yrs but don't drive it except around the block every once in the while> Basicly watching it rust a little around the rear wheelwells since it sits under my deck, All other metal is good. I can send pics if interested. I am asking 4.5K locally but I want it gone... soooo give me a fair price, i am motivated. i don't get on here too much so email me here ricliz@bellsouth.net THX Rich

Sean at usapartssupply.com told me they have a good 66 98. Have not dealt with them. Located in eastern WV.
I am working on a 65 98 convertible, have most of it, but got a loooong way to go. A long journey can be as much fun as getting there.
