FIIIINNAAALLLY I got the DS STARFIRE dual exhaust manifold and dual exhaust fitted..... a couple of not exactly super pictures, but I guess it shows what it i supposed to. Maybe other ClassicOldsmobile members will get inspired.
The system is from Waldron Exhaust.. very very kind people at Waldrons. I got everything needed to fit it.. flanges, gasket, bolts, 2 different types of hangers simular to the OE, ofcause most of it wasnt included in the exhaust system but added on my request.
After ordering I regret not ordering a stainless system... but this will last a few years. I guess it is all right.
Both sides have the muffler or silencer if you like, in front of the rear axle, and a resonator after the rear axle. One thing is for sure...... it is veeery quiet. I need to figure out how to give it a deep note without ruin it.
If you ordered a system for a 98 it would not include chambered pipes and should be very quiet.
I did order a system for a 98, and I could not choose between pipe size or mufflers. I did not expect the engine to be noisier that the exhaust, even standing behind the car it is that quiet.
I always suggest that folks visit a local exhaust shop and talk to the owner before buying mufflers for their exhaust. Hopefully you can do this in Denmark.

We do not have exhaust shop as I understand you have in the US. Ours only do, how do you say, mainstream popular everyday car exhaust parts or complete, tires and maintenance repairs. I did try ask around and search. The only ones are customs shop, that do stainless and the prices I got was not what I would pay.
I can do it myself, and will do it. It just the combination of muffler or not, resonator or not that is the hard bit... trial and error I guess it is 😬
You might start another thread seeking advice on muffler and resonator selection. There are other members on our site with early 60s full-sized Oldsmobiles that can give you some input. FWIW, I have 45" Thrush glasspacks on my 71 98 that aren't available anymore. They are very loud. Actually, I'm considering changing to the Dynomax mufflers I linked earlier.

I bought flowmaster super 10 and sounds great but wanted to put duel on it I'm going to in the future
I run some sort of glaspack right now. I never got to try any of the flowmasters or similar.
As you have already been told, there are no way around the oe drivers side exhaust manifold. I was lucky to source a driver side manifold for a fair price rather quickly, and ordred the exhaust system right away.
If you can remove the resonators you may like the sound. If you do like it, straight pipe the resonators if you don't like the sound re-install them. Resonators do quiet the system.
of course I could not stay away from the exhaust. I replaced then mufflers and removed the resonators in the back, and replaced them with some universal pipes, BUT, the tailpipes are still located at the same place.
