You just never know
I sold my first 66 98 Olds convertible back in 1981 after an old lady went through a red light and smashed the 12 foot long rear 1/4 panel and spun me around into another car and that smashed the other rear 1/4.. I sold the car in 81 and found it 24 years later in a pole barn. I guess the guy I sold it to fixed the 1/4's and died. The car sat for years. I saw an ad in a paper and went and checked it out. It still had the 81 plates on it and the car looked unchanged. My friend bought the car.

What a nice reunion...
Glad your friend got it and hopefully he (and you if he needs help) can fix it up and both of you can enjoy it!
I had tracked down my mom's old Olds a while back and learned it was in a wrecking yard somewhere. Nothing left of it but memories now...

Hey MN71W30, If your friend needs any parts for the '66 98, give me a holler. I have a few things laying around plus a whole parts car ('66 98 conv). I am always happy to help someone who needs it and don't try to steal their shorts. Bruce

Dave, Are You talking about the U-shaped pieces that bolt inside the bumper? I have a couple of sets but I think they would have to be re-chromed. I could take a look through my stuff to get a better idea of condition. Bruce
