No. Storage capacity of the battery is unrelated to load on the system.

Deep cycle batteries aren't really suited to a car. They're for boat trolling motors, cars with hydraulics, stuff like that. They're designed to be discharged to almost zero and then recharged. Constant charging like it will get in a vehicle may shorten its life considerably.

That said, unless you had a bad battery or a charging problem to begin with, even with a hearse there's no reason a good 600-800 CCA standard battery shouldn't have worked fine. Have you had the alternator and charging system checked over to make sure it's working?

+1.

I wasn't goin' there.

There are plenty of great threads across the interwebs on diagnosing and repairing charging system problems.

my alternator is fine it just had a dinky battery like 250 cca 475ca or mabie even less
but im using the hearse like a rv so ill have a 12v cooler/fridge running alot and i have a 400 watt inverter hooked up to power some small electronics in the back. in the future i want to get a pair 30 watt solar panels i can stick on my sunvisors but for now ill make use of a 1.5 watt tricle charger i found for $20. but thats good to know about the battery i was going to use it sparingly but if its better to discharge it all the way sometimes. ill just make sure my jumpstart power pack thing is charged up to jump it the next day and let it recharge while i drive...in theory it works...

It isn't good to discharge any lead-acid battery (unlike NiCd, NiMH and Li-ion batteries), but the deep-cycle battery will withstand it better, at the expense of not being as good at handling the thousands of slight discharge / charge cycles that the regular car battery handles during a normal lifespan.
