What lurks under the window rubber

Pulled the rear window out of my 56 98 this weekend because I had a sneaking suspicion there was some rust under there. Not nearly as bad as I thought.

Doesn't look too bad. Are you going to weld in some small patches to fix it up?

Yes there was a bit of a sigh of relief when I saw that it was less than I thought

I don't think it's big enough to go with a patch and there's no 'structure' worries. I may just use a little brass rod and fill the cracks. I still have to get up underneath and see what kind of rust is on the underside. If it's not too bad, then I'll fill it...if it looks like it needs a little more I'll put a small patch in.

Good deal that'll work. Do you use gas to braze or a tig torch? I've always used gas myself but am curious how tig works out.

I still use gas as well...I think it's easier to get into those tougher areas
