I have a 1964 Olds 98. How come when I do a vin search it comes up a a dynamic 88??

 

When you have given no information with your post, how would anybody know why you came up with that? Either you don't have a '98, the VIN you're using is wrong or where you looked it up is wrong.
I can only guess the latter.
I'd look it up in the 1964 Chassis Service Manual. Available in downloadable PDF format free of charge on Wild About Cars.

Good site Allan The links they provide such as this one is missing some info on Oldsmobiles from 1968 - 1980. I sent an email to them about it and offered to help them if they needed it.

 

Paint decodes as follows

30 = Fern Green Poly lower body color
31 = Cove Green Poly upper body color

Trim (Interior)
92 = Two-tone Green

ACC
K2 = Custom Lounge Cushions
T = E-Z-Eye tinted glass

i found an old manual that covers 53-63 models most all american cars. it belonged to my grandfather .

 

Style No. 53-3069D translates to:

1953, 98 Deluxe 4 Dr. Sedan
