Need a pic of a glove box lock

Im working on my 64 98 and have a problem with the glove box lock. When I got the car it wouldn't open and I had to drill the lock out. I put a new lock cylinder in and reinstalled, now it wouldn't release from the latch.

So now I am wondering if someone installed an incorrect part. I have been unable to locate one from a reasonable source (including Fusick's) to see if it is correct. So I need a picture of a lock, especially the inside of the glove box door where the lock would attach to the latch.

Fusick's said the 98 and 88 should be the same, so wither could work.

Thanks alot.

Thanks again, coldwar. The lock mechanism had become weak over time and had a shorter range of motion, thus causing it to not want to release. A little grinding and adjusting the latch, and it is fixed. Those pictures confirmed that all the correct parts were there, and allowed me to focus on making it work.

FWIW, it appears that this lock is the same as the one from a 64 Impala.

Looks just like my 61's.

Tab looks to be mounted wrong, maybe should be mounted so you just see the screws
inside the glove box.
Check it out.
