Need a new gas tank for a 1970 98
Hi, does anyone know of a vendor who carries a new fuel tank for my fathers 1970 Olds 98 convertible? Also a new sending unit would be a plus it a 455.
Thanks for your help.

There probably isn't one.

does carry tanks of about the vintage of your father's car, but not 1970 specifically, at least according to their website. Parts like this for the non-Cutlasses of the 60s and early 70s are not reproduced. You may have to find a good used one out of another '70 98.
The sending unit is probably not made, either, but it might be possible to use one from a later model. For example, I needed a sending unit for my '67 Delta 88, but they're not made new. However, I found that one for a '72 Buick LeSabre would work just fine, and those are made. My guess is something similar would work for you, but you would have to compare pictures of what you have with what alternative units look like.
I bought my sending unit at rockauto.com. Costs about $70.
