Gas pedal keeps falling off

Since I installed the new intake & carb on my 66 Ninetyeight. My gas pedal keeps falling off. It pivots at the bottom on two ball joints. I am just wondering if it might have to do with the adjustment of the throttle linkage. The little roller sits very close to the top of the pedal now. I never paid attention to it before so don't know if its in the same place.

What falls off? The top or the bottom?

What do you mean by top or bottom? Its not attached to anything on the top? It just rests on a roller.

I think RBC was asking if the pedal was falling apart at the hinges at the bottom or slipping under the roller at the top. Did you try to disconnect the linkage at the carb to see how much the roller can travel down the pedal?

Maybe after getting the new intake and carb, you decided to slam the padal to the metal to test it out...that might be what broke it.

Actually I was very gentle with the acceleration!!! LOL

I actually think I need to adjust the linkage some more. Looks like the roller is sitting to high on the gas pedal causing the pedal to flip off when released.
