2 speed jetaway on a 1966 98??

Just wondering if this transmission work work for my 98 or is it for SB only? Not that I really need it. I just found one near by for under $100 & figured if it fit & would work it might be worth having.

It is originally of a 1966 but I don't know which model.

A 1966 98 should have a long tail TH400. The Junkaway, er, JETaway is shorter and requires the crossmember to be in a different location. Olds DID use them behind the 400 motors in the 1966 442s, but I would not recommend replacing a TH400 with one.

Stay away from the Jetaway. I'll be replacing mine way down the road with a TH350 or TH400.

I have a perfect T400 with TC with about 3000 miles on them if anyone is interested. Took them out of my '66 Holiday Sedan when I went to AOD.

keep the jetaway converters, they will work in the Sw/pitch turbo 400's. They will be "higher" stall for drag racing.
