1976 98 Owners for future refernce

I introduced myself in the Newbie section. Revisiting my younger days.
I just purchased a 76 Regency that is a twin to the one I had back in the 70s.
Have searched through the forum here and found little posted recently that is specific to 75/76 models.
Would like to hear from those who are current owners of those specific years.
Will start healing the few issues that need addressed and plan to take pictures and document those fixes.
So please, those of you who own these years let's get a list together for when we need help with our problems in the future.

Day #1 loaded for home!

It is drivable, just trailered it home to be safe.
Only has 14,300mi. on the clock, didn't want to risk a 2 hr. maiden voyage home.
It had an oil change sticker from 1994 that showed 13,600. Have lots of things to check before It hits the highway.

Hi again,

I love the idea of getting a list of '75 / '76 98 members together! I mentioned in a reply to another post of yours that I have 2 '76 Regency Coupes. If you want to see them and a bunch more, check out the Registry tab on my website www.regencyclassics.com. There's another tab just showing my 2 cars too. Yours is gorgeous by the way. That kind of mileage is incredible!

Welcome to the forum! This is a great place for parts and info. Ive got a 76 Ninety Eight regency 4 door that I've been wrenching on. Working on the interior right now, getting the heater core replaced, adding twilight sentinel, and servicing vacuum lines for the AC. Engine is getting a full refresh too. I am 2 years into this one. Havent put a mile on it yet We ninety eight guys gotta stick together!

Hey, nice 76 98 Regency! She looks like a pretty solid car so you're lucky. I have 2 76 Coupes and a lot of parts too. Let me know if you need anything. I may even have some matching interior panels for a tan sedan. Let me know if you need anything for yours and keep it up! You're going to love driving her when you're all done!

Hello all. I picked up a 75 98 regency and would love to find a resource with solid 75/76 info. I am a new member here and my build thread is in my signature.

Anyone have a '75 header panel laying around?

Hi Harner,

Welcome to the forum and I love all the effort you're putting into your 98! I have 2 76 98 Regency Coupes and absolutely love these cars! I have quite a few spare parts but currently no 75 header panels. Yours doesn't look all that bad. I would think any good body guy can work some magic with it. Any other original parts you're looking for?

My Dad and I were doing a garage cleanout around 8-10 years ago and inside was a mint 60k mile, blue, all original 76 Regency Coupe with a white top and blue interior. I detailed it once prior to selling and once for the new owner before he put it on consignment to sell. Awesome car and really turned me on to 98's in general. I ended up walking away from that cleanout with an 87 Cutlass with a 455 swap.

Regarding the header panel, it's not terrible and I have talked to a body guy. I'm just not committed. I really can't think of anything else, though. I'll have a 455 and th400 up for grabs eventually, hopefully a forum member can make use of it.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words.

Wow, I would have loved seeing that '76 Regency coupe that you sold! Let me know if you're looking for any other original parts. I have mostly '76 parts but as you know, the vast majority are the same for '75.

Hi. The vinyl top was optional but common so it's also possible that it was removed. If you share the posting, we might be able to tell if it had one or not.
