New 67 cutlass owner

I've always been a GM guy, had a bunch when I was younger. I have always wanted a classic 442 or cutlass and I finally got one. Just bought a 1967 cutlass supreme convertible. Mechanically seems very sound, body has been mostly fixed, just a couple things to do. Interior and top are the bad area. I really want to get the car back to factory, or pretty close, I do want to dress it up a bit with some chrome Etc, but I want factory colors and interior Etc. I have the VIN and trim plate and want to know where to start with. Getting the history and info, specs Etc. I know it should be a 330 rocket and is supposed to be all original matching #s.
As I said brand new to the forum, and to the classic car world. Last horrid I had was a 1979 Gold edition TA. THAT WAS AROUND 1984!!!!! Yes It's been that long. Help a newbie out!!

Welcome to the site, post some pictures when you get a chance. Include a readable picture of the data plate next to master cylinder on the firewall.

I would be glad to help you with as much info as possible. Unlike Pontiac's Oldsmobile cars are very hard to document and a 67 is almost impossible to do much other than the data plate.

If you email me direct your data plate/Cowl tag info I will be glad to decode it for you. I have owned over 65 Oldsmobiles and have extensive information and knowledge on the 66-67 cars. I currently have 9 Olds parts cars most are 66-67.

Direct email is lemoldsnut@aol.com

Welcome aboard. there is some really great folks on this site and many will do all they can to help you enjoy your car. I have done several 66-67 restorations and have one I have owned over 36 years and we are mid way in a 67 442 restoration now.

Enjoy your car and this site.

Did you post where you are located?

Anyway welcome!

Larry

Welcome to C.O. Sounds like a very nice project. Don't worry about the difficulty with posting pictures, several of us has had those problems. Larry
