Almost an Olds owner

I am considering buying a 1960 Olds 88 . How hard are parts to find and how do they run costwise ? Thanks

Welcome to the site, I'm going to let others more experienced with that year model chime in.

Welcome aboard, well early 60 stuff is not going to be a easy fix or cheap. Engine suspension, and brake parts are available but body parts, sheet metal, trim are going to be most likely a donor /parts car thing, not much is reproduced and little crosses over to another GM model. What parts are you concerned about? That being said there are few cars as unique as a early 60's Oldsmobile., you will hardly ever see one at a show and they will and do stand out in a crowd at any location.

When you can post a few pictures so we could give a better evaluation of what you are up against.... Tedd

Thanks for the reply . I will post some pics when I figure out how to get them off my phone . I really don't know what the car needs. The owner says it runs and drives . He mentioned the fuel pump has been replaced with an electric one . From the pics I have the car looks to be solid , seats have been recovered , original 394 , it needs paint . All the trim is there. It's a 4 dr . I'm looking for running driving project so i can enjoy the car as I work on it . Thanks again
