Newbie from Kansas

Recently retired from the military and purchased my 1970 Olds 98 Convertible to keep me busy. Drivable but in need of some TLC.

Thank you for your service !

Welcome, here you will find a great bunch of people willing to help you on your journey of classic cars lol.
When you get a chance post pics of your car. I use phoyobucket as I think it's easier then resizing pics to fit the forum guide lines

Welcome aboard!
Nice to be retired isn't it? Getting parts for Land Yachts can be a real pain because not much of a demand item to make things lucrative for aftermarket vendors. What's on the to do list? Talk to 442Oldsredberet this site. He's in AL and has a cherry 70 Ninety Eight he just picked up, and is also recently retired from military. If you want his ph send me a PM and I'll set you up.

Thank you for your service, and thank you for being a survivor!

Thanks!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I just picked up the 98 from the transmission shop today after a $900 rebuild. Turbo 400 is shifting great and also seems to have solved the overheating problem I was having with the radiator. Took it out for an hours worth of driving and no issues with it throwing up all my antifreeze once I got home and parked in the driveway.

Thank you for you service. Tell us a little about that if you don't mind. I sold a 1969 98 convertible a couple years ago what was in an estate I am the executor of. It was a very nice car, all original with 65,000 miles on it. It was dark green with one repaint and a light green top. That thing was a cruiser but it was thirsty. I consigned it to a classic car dealer and a guy came in and bought it the first weekend it was there for $16,000.
