Newbie from Kansas

Recently retired from the military and purchased my 1970 Olds 98 Convertible to keep me busy. Drivable but in need of some TLC.

When you get a chance post pics of your car. I use phoyobucket as I think it's easier then resizing pics to fit the forum guide lines

Nice to be retired isn't it? Getting parts for Land Yachts can be a real pain because not much of a demand item to make things lucrative for aftermarket vendors. What's on the to do list? Talk to 442Oldsredberet this site. He's in AL and has a cherry 70 Ninety Eight he just picked up, and is also recently retired from military. If you want his ph send me a PM and I'll set you up.

Thanks!

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I just picked up the 98 from the transmission shop today after a $900 rebuild. Turbo 400 is shifting great and also seems to have solved the overheating problem I was having with the radiator. Took it out for an hours worth of driving and no issues with it throwing up all my antifreeze once I got home and parked in the driveway.

Thank you for you service. Tell us a little about that if you don't mind. I sold a 1969 98 convertible a couple years ago what was in an estate I am the executor of. It was a very nice car, all original with 65,000 miles on it. It was dark green with one repaint and a light green top. That thing was a cruiser but it was thirsty. I consigned it to a classic car dealer and a guy came in and bought it the first weekend it was there for $16,000.
