Newbie from Ft Myers
Hi Gary, welcome to the forum. I lived in Naples for almost 20 years. You might give John Fillmore a call.
Fillmore Machine Naples, Florida
(239) 593-5807
They build swamp buggy racers but are also in to classics and hot rods. Who knows? Maybe somebody there might know somebody. Couldn't hurt to try. John might be retired but I think his son randy runs the shop now.

Thanks for the info.really looking to see if anyone has info on whether it's better to keep my car original. I would love to put a nice motor and trans but don't want to destroy the cars worth if any. Car has 67000 miles all original except paint' one motor mount and windshield.also door mirror replaced.A good solid car. Brakes are another issue though.any suggestions....power or not ??
Welcome to the site Gary. In my opinion the main value in your car is how you enjoy it. I would not be concerned on resale value based on what ever improvements or mods you perform on the car. Originality is solely a personal preference, it's not a 442. There is great amount of information and experienceon this site to help you along the way. Post some pictures of your car when you get a chance.
Car was purchased as original 350 motor with getaway ? Trans. Has a 2 barrel carb. I was planning on some motor work along with 350 or 400 trans. But after reading some articles I now think safety ( disc brake ) conversion. This may not be written in the proper forum....
