Welcome to Classic Olds, you picked a great car to learn on!
Where are you located? Why I ask is this weekend is the largest one day Olds show in Lansing Mi.
If you are within driving distance it might be a great place to see other 57s and meet people who have the same interests.

here are some pictures. made the deal today. it runs and drives. interior is original , but it has had one repaint. let me know what you think. has some rust holes on the lower door and rocker, and the driver side floor. overall I think its a good deal. these are getting harder and harder to come by. has the tripower option which is kinda cool too!

just got it today. pretty sweet ride! its got some rust here and there. the potmetal isn't bad at all. needs some work, but its a running car. steers and brakes nice. theres a hole in the muffler so it sounds like straight pipes haha. I paid 8k for it , shipped to my door. I think I got a sweet deal considering the rarity and the value. what do you guys think? I would like to lower it, whitewalls, polish the stainless and do the bodywork but basically leave it as is , for a driver.

Congrats on the new ride! Welcome....to me, that car is my all time favorite ! '57 Fiestas are hard to find! I do believe you got a great deal, as those cars bring big money in the condition yours is in. The J2 option is just icing on the cake!

thanks guys. I don't want to make it sound super solid, there is rust, but its not terrible. I think the fact that its driving, and all together, really made the deal sweet. you rarely see them in this condition for sale. they are either too nice or too rough. im servicing the power windows right now. need those windows down on a hardtop!

thought I would post a few pictures. been working on the wiring the past week. been kind of a headache because of the PO. I took this picture a few nights ago...

im starting to polish the stainless one by one. i have experience with polishing so its something that im excited to do. polished stainless can actually make a car look really good, even with a beat up paint job like this one. you can see the comparison in the picture. I did the 9 spears on the hatch, but haven't done them on the roof. this stainless is in great shape, makes it easy to polish. its just oxidized , no real dings or damage to remove.

Awesome car! That is really nice and I think you have a good idea about what to do with it. If you don't like the wheel covers might I suggest some of those spun disks like they used to put on the salt flat racers in the sixties, they would look good and make the whitewalls pop against the black of the car. Nice find and welcome to C.O.

You cannot go wrong with a '57 Fiesta J2 in black for 8k! How bad off are the floor pans? What a great looking machine!

the driver side front floor pan is by far the worst, but the other 3 floor pans just have small holes. I might end up replacing all 4 depending on how good the metal is around the holes to weld.

I have observed thin floors on these cars more often than not. It is a great year and model, and even the color is as good as it gets. Congratulations!

took out the fiesta today just to clean her up a bit. haven't done much to her. been too busy with work. I have whitewalls on the way, gonna throw on some chrome smoothies and prolly lower it 2-3 inches. should look pretty sweet at that point. here are a few pictures I took.

That car is bangin'

You have Nomads and a Fiesta Holiday. Now you need a Pontiac Safari and a Buick Caballero Riviera to go with them! Hey, Mercury and Mopar made hardtop wagons too, and all are beyond cool.
