Newbie - BC Canada with 57 Fiesta 88 Wagon

Hi All, we are Mark and Elizabeth from BC, Canada. We just purchased from my grandfather his old "family car," a 1957 Oldsmobile Fiesta 88 Station Wagon. He is the second owner, so we are now the 3rd. The car needs a complete resto, as it's been sitting in a covered garage since 1980. It has power windows, and some upgrades from the original owner, as I understand it was customized to be a chauffeur driven limousine. This will be a very, very long term project as I know the parts are pricey and sometimes hard to find. Thanks very much!

Welcome. That is quite a car you have. I love 57's. You have come to the right place. There are lots of good folks here with lots of knowledge who are glad to help. Let me be the first to hound you until you post some pictures. I would really like to see the limo conversion part. That is really a neat wagon.

Thank you everyone! Its wonderful to know there are many on here to offer help and enjoy classics as much as we do. We also own a 65 Mustang Coupe, and it's kindly sharing our garage with newbie Fiesta. I will endeavour to put up more pictures very soon! We are located in Prince George BC.

We will eventually be looking for many parts and pieces - starting with sheet metal for replacing the floorboards. If anyone has a good lead with great prices, please let me know.
