Hi out there, just joined up. From Saskatoon, SK. Canada. I've got a 1975 Olds Omega, for about five years now. I joined up because I'll be starting work on the suspension this winter and will need all the help I can get! I haven't had to do too much work to the car since I bought it. New exhaust, fixed some leaks, bit of paint patching. The original motor was swapped out for a Chev 305 before I bought it but someday I'd like to put the 350 back in.
Welcome aboard. Omega suspension is no different that working on a Cutlass. Shouldn't be any issues for you. What happened to the original 350 that it got pulled? SBC is an ok engine - GM put them in some of the 78 production run when they ran out of SBO's. Had one in my 78 Calais and never had any issues.
BTW, last time I was down in Saskatoon was in 08 for a week long curling bonspiel. You have a really nice city there! Stayed at the 4 seasons on Spadina & 25th, then just a short trip over to the Granite. Great hospitality and a really fun St. Paddy's day celebration too!
BTW, there's a couple of good boneyards up around the Battlefords if you're up that way, since it's not far.
Olds 350? One of the most widely produced engine Olds ever made?? No, we use skidoos, dogsleds or horses all over the place; and the gov't has mandated nothing larger than a 4.6L engine for any car in Canada......
What were you thinking Chris? OF COURSE we can get Olds 350's up here. 400, 403's, 455's and any crate engine we want....

Welcome from Melville, Saskatchewan. Kijji is your friend to find an Olds 350. I found a great 76 Olds 350 in Regina and paid $120. Olds 455 is a different story, people up here think they are made of gold.
Thanks for the big welcome! :-)
I should have said "a" 350 rather than the 350 as sadly I don't have it. Not sure what did happen to the original, although the guy I bought it from had a Cutlass too so he may have switched them.
Glad to see a bunch of other Canucks here! I will have to head out to Battleford. We have some wreckers in and around Saskatoon you can sometimes find older vehicles and go snag parts but they're few and far between.
