Glad to find this site and be part of it! bought 1970 cutlass supreme 442 from Fremont, so I guess it cannot be a w30, just wondering if there are any rare 442s from Fremont. Has duel gate , the fibre glass ram air hood ,trunk scoop, some cool lines and paint. Has proper engine numbers. thanks

FYI if you have a 442 you do NOT have a Cutlass or a Cutlass Supreme.
Does your VIN start with 344 or something else?
Many 442s were built in Freemont but no W machines.
Duel gates are for fighting. Dual gates are what Hurst installed in your Olds.
The hood is not ram air. It is outside air induction.
That thing on the trunk is not a scoop it is a spoiler.
Pictures are mandatory. Post away!
Is this a Supreme hardtop or convertible? The 1970 442 convertibles used the same body as the Supremes, but the hardtops did not. 442s used the "fastback" Cutlass S body. Supreme hardtops used the new-for-1970 "notchback" body. No 442s were ever built on the notchback body. Also, the factory never installed a wing on either the convertible or the notchback body, so that's been added by a previous owner.
In any case, enjoy it.
