Really new newbie here

Picked up this 69 Cutlass S while searching for a Chevelle. So glad I got the Olds!

Previous owner restored some, I'm working on the rest. Was originally Rust Brown, now is a Cobalt Blue with White stripes. Guess you'd call it a restomod. I'm getting thumbs up around town, so I musta did something right!

Rebuilt 350/350 turbo with about 2K miles. 4 wheel disc conversion. Interior is decent for now, will replace over time.

Retired, so on a limited budget. (when wife lets me buy parts basically)

Really enjoying this forum. Have learned a lot of valuable info from you folks. Glad I found you!

Thanks,

John

Well John, you get a thumbs up from me too!
Welcome to C.O. You're one of the few who must have already done the research and knew to post pics so we wouldn't hound you about it.

What a great looking car! I get what you mean about retired and limited budgets. I did that back a couple years ago. The big money was nice, but the last couple years have been so much better without the stress I used to have.

So, where are you located? Looks like somewhere warm; I envy you already.

Welcome to CO! Nice looking 69. The paint looks like a mirror in those photos.

Welcome, very nice car. You stumbled on one of the car hobbies best kept secrets while searching for a Chevelle. The Oldsmobile has much more bang for your buck.

Very nice car. Wheels look right- very tasteful, sometimes bigger wheels look goofy but your car is really nice. I also like that it is still a bench. So many have been converted to buckets that it looks good to see a bench. I started to accumulate parts to convert my 71 Cutlass to buckets and then decided to leave it a bench. Only thing no so good about a bench is I'm 6'3" and wife is 5'2" so when she drives its knees against the dash time for me!! Anyway, Welcome to CO.
