First post / Introduction.

This is my first post on here, I am 19 years old from Nelson BC, Canada. (Home of the roadkings queen city cruise car show) My mom gave me her 1971 Cutlass Convertible that broke down on her before I was born. I have spent the last few years working on it as best as I could. We got it running this past spring and I enjoyed the occasional afternoon cruise with the top down and decided to enter it in the show in September as a WIP. It got a really good response and almost won the WIP class. Now that it is running I need to start getting the body and interior done. The body is in fairly good shape, there are a couple dents in some spots the worst is the passenger door because my dad slid off the road into a tree with it. The interior is in horrible condition because it sat for 15+ years out in the open before I started working on it. We had a new roof put on and replaced the floor boards. The seats need to be reupholstered and most of the panels are missing off the doors and such. I know I have a few years of work ahead of me and I'm looking forward to every moment of it! Sorry about the really long post.

You're gonna like it here...

Welcome! I'm glad to hear that you are continuing your efforts to preserve a fine American automobile. This is THE place for advice on everything Oldsmobile. This site has never failed to answer my questions and steer me in the right direction. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.
I have a '72 Cutlass convertible sitting under wraps in my shop, just waiting for spring. I've wanted one of those for years and just got it last March. Consider yourself fortunate, having a fine car at so young an age! -Jon

Welcome to CO! Always nice to see new devotees of Olds.

Not familair with Nelson. If it is close to the U.S. border I would be getting my a P.O. Box in the U.S. so you do not have to beg U.S. suppliers to ship to Canada.
