86 Regal 307 in Boston

Howdy folks been reading this forum for a while finally took the time to make a profile..

I've got an 86 regal with the 307, 80,000 miles, all original, one family car, came with original bill of sale and window stickers!
ive always loved gbody 442s and cutlasses so when i came across this 307 regal for cheap i couldnt say no..
As you know shes basically inside olds outside buick and thats the way its gonna stay!!
bought her in jan but didnt start working on her till spring..two steps from a basketcase but thats the way we like em right?!?

came to me w check engine & brake idiot lights on, and some sad sad looking gaskets on the exhaust mans rotted out bumper, rusty quarter panels but otherwise very solid. New bumper & fillers, paint on the quarter panels, got some new crank doors im rebuilding, new shoes pads rotors calipers drums and brake lines took care of half the problems...and my whole budget for the summer

sounds like alot on paper buts its the tip of the iceberg haha

Previous owner did virtually all the top end work so I've been gathering parts to pull apart and fix the leaky exhaust..

day i bought it

after the body work

old bumper (dig my customs plates??)

new bumper (95% complete)

bought these and some BFG radial T/As...and there goes my budget for the fall lol..

these are the FRIGHTENING looking exhaust manifolds..been putting this project off for most of the year, but ive finally got the $$ and parts to start taking that stuff apart and putting it back together all nice like...arranging to get this done sometime this weekend or next week.

then i get to tackle the CCC system and yank out as much emissions as i can, before winter comes full force, (if the cars 20+ yrs old, no emissions in MA -and you thought were all a buncha tree huggers) been readin up on that for a while...

in the long run gonna swap out the tranny xmember and put on some dualies, upgrade the suspension and brakes. id love to drop a 350R in her but for now i want to get the 307 runnin smooth, its got a lot of life left in it!!
wish me luck!!
