The answer to your question will lie in the build details and state of tune. Either engine could come out on top.

A Honda could whoop on a Grand National with enough money put into it.

Keep in mind that the engine is only a small part of drag strip performance. Suspension, gearing, chassis setup, tire selection, launch technique all play important roles.

Plus I dont want a v6 giving it to me like that. my plans is a 455 similar to the car craft build 500hp 600ft lbs somewehre in that range. stage II 200r4 with the billet internals and a 3.50 ford 9 in rear end. more so a luxury sport street strip vehicle with A/C and sounds full interior power windows seats and locks. I trying to make a cutlass g-body version of a mercedes amg but will most definetely have to kick some ***

Before selecting...

also remember that weight also plays an important factor, I have seen many a Chevelle 454 fall to a nova ss with a small block, as the other said it is what you want to invest.. a turbo regal is nothing to sneeze at and a GN or GNX deserves plenty of respect, nowadays it seems like HP is all about how big a shot of NOX is given???? but a 455 in a g-body has Cool Factor no bout a doubt it !!!
