1980 442 w-30

Hello, I have a 1980 Olds 442 W-30. It is all original and in awesome shape. It came from the dealer with Hurst/Olds badges. This car has only 98 000km on it and has never seen any type of bad weather.

Curious

I bet you are in Ontario Canada & I bet that is my old car. It is white & gold with white interior. There should be a CAA sticker on the trunk lid.

I sold it to a contractor from ON who was workign in AB about 5 years ago & he trailered it back to ON only to lose it in a divorce. Last I saw the car it was on Kijiji in the Ottawa area.

The badges were installed at the selling dealership back in 1980. The original owner wanted a 1979 HO but those cars were not sold in Canada. The dealer sold him an 80 442 & installed the 79 HO badges on C pillars nexxt to the 442 badges.

The mileage on that car has doubled since I sold it 5 years ago.

Of the 6 1980 442s I owned that one was the best by far. Had zero rust & nice original paint & interior when I had it.

Yes it does have the CAA sticker on the trunk lid. Small world we live in, the car still has zero rust and still has its original paint on the bottom. Im having a hard time posting pics but will try and get some on.

Welcome Fitzy. The pics haven't shown up - after you upload them you still have to insert them in the post. Just use the attachment hickey again - put the cursor where you want the photos, then double-click the file names individually or choose the "insert all" option. They don't actually show up in your draft. You have to use the "preview post" button to make sure it's the way you want it to look.

I never saw one with a white interior, seems they were all tan cloth, unusual.

I still have all the paper work that came with the car, original bill of sale, options list from GM, operating manuals,a record of most work done to the car, some stuff with Oldsmobiledave info on it. The car is still solid as a rock. Had the car appraised and the fellow wasnt experienced with Oldsmobiles and was looking at the wrong side of the engine block to see if it was a numbers matching car. He eventually found it and it is still all numbers matching, the only thing I changed was the water pump and starter.
