It's oldsmobile for me....
Hello, my name is Augie from Glastonbury, Ct. I have been into Oldsmobile since 1981 when I got my first one, a 1968 Cutlass S. blue with light blue interior. The car was driven daily until the family started, then parked it under my car-port for about a year when my neighbor's kid got his liscense and constantly bugged me about selling it too him....Well, I sold it to him and yes, I hate to say it, but he blew the transmission and could not afford to fix it. He offered to sell it back to me (which I should of) but did not..anyway he got rid of it..awhile later I missed my Olds, so I set out to find one. I picked up a 1971 Cutlass Supreme convertible 350, dual gate, sport wheel, SSII wheels, 8 track and power windows..Viking Blue with Pearl interior and louvered hood. I am in the process of making a 442 clone with it. I still have this car after 24 years. I still had a yearning for a 60's Olds....Last Sept. I picked up a 1967 442 4 speed, black interiior, buckets, console and spanish red exterior, and has SSII chrome wheels. I was supposed to get rid of the 71 Olds when I got the 67,(according to my wife) but I still have it..
I am in the process of replacing the carpet in the 67, so the interior is totally out of it now...
Well guys and gals that's my story, I know it was long, but I just wanted to fill you in on my Oldsmobile Saga.....
Thanks..

Welcome to C.O.
Nice story. I think everyone of us has a memory of a car they wish they hadn't sold.
Please be sure to post pics and keep us updated on your 67 project.

Also, Nice Cars! I have been thinking of adding another one myself! And yes, there is always the wife problem to consider.
She wants to remodel the house again, and of course I want to buy another car.
And I am a contractor!

Thanks, I hear what you're saying.... but remember, you can never have too many Oldsmobiles
