Hot air from the heater fan or do you have a hole in the firewall with the hot air from the engine blowing into the cab of the car?

Unfortunately, the mind reading thing STILL isn't working, so perhaps you could share what model, does it have A/C or not, Comfortron or not, etc. Diagnosis will depend on what you have.

He TOLD you right there in the title of the thread that it was a '71 and that it was green. What more do you need?

Check the heater control valve. Loop the hose around TEMPORARILY so the heating system is disconnected and see if that corrects it. If it does that rules out it being engine heat that is entering the cabin.

The flapper doors in the HVAC distribution box under the dash are vacuum operated. If the vacuum source hose is not connected properly to the engine, or if the hoses under the dash are disconnected, or if one of the vacuum diaphragm acutators has failed, the system will not work properly.
