New guy from Quincy, IL

Hi guys/gals.

Joined the forum because I might be coming into a 1986 Cutlass Supreme soon if it all works out and I plan on customising it to an extent. Mostly interior, engine, and changing it to a manual

I figured I'll be able to find lots of information here, as well as pictures for ideas

Also, I love to look at other enthusiast's and their cars and see what they have going on.

Will do! Going to test drive it later today, really hoping it's as good of a deal as it appears to be.

Also there is a local truck stop/restaurant that has an Oldsmobile sign inside and thought some of you guys would enjoy this

Update on the car acquiring status:

Took it for a test drive and I love it. It's in really good condition for it's age, has only 83,000 miles on it, original V6 3.8 VIN A series so is a carburetored engine not throttle body or injection. No rusting on the body or the frame, has a crack/scrape area on the rear passenger panel near the tail light, nothing crazy. The headliner was torn down showing the felt stuff underneath. An aftermarket radio was added, but poorly done. Idle has a bit of a minor tremble to it, but runs fine when in motion. Alternator needs changed, it charges the battery when running, but drains it when turned off.

All in all, he originally asked for $1,500 and was able to talk him down to $1,200 for it.

Edit: Was able to finance the car, will be taking pictures and sharing those with those with you guys
