425 in a 68 Cutlass S

I just bought a 425 Big Block 4bbl Carb, w/B Heads...Can I use my alternator, brackets, and pulleys from my stock 350 rocket? The 425 is missing these parts. Also...Are "B" Heads any good? My air cleaner says..."Ultra High Compression"...is this the 425 with 370HP? I'm new to the sight and this is my first Oldsmobile Thanks for any help or input.

Yes, the 425 is externally identical to the 455 and all your 350 brackets work on the 455, so they also work on the 425. In some cases there will be two sets of holes in the bracket, one for the small block and one for the big block. DO NOT use the "big block" motor mounts, use the ones from the 350. You will need A-body BBO exhaust manifolds.

You must also use the 425 flex plate. The 350 flex plate will not bolt up. Use the 350 water pump and pulleys from the 350.
