When just spending your money on a 455 that will loaf along when you want it to and then just be a monster when you want to play.....your choice.

I can find Olds 455 motors all day long from $150.00 to $350.00, about the same price you would pay for a Chevy motor. Take my advice, you have an Oldsmobile keep the oldsmobile motor. I once had a 1984 Olds Cutlass that I took the stock V6 out and replaced it with a Chevy 350. While the car would haul ****, it was not original and that affected the value.
My name is Frankenstien because I am dealing with the exact opposite situation, a Chevy truck with an Olds Power plant. My intention is to get another Olds Cutlass and put the motor from my truck into it.
