New Old Guy

Good Morning, Not many car shows in Michigan this time of year so I sit here most every morning coffee in hand surfing the web. I'm a retired Veteran with a couple classic cars including a 1969 frame off 442. I have looked around this forum from time to time and decided I'd join. Have a nice day. Paul

Glad to have you with us! Gotta love the Olds...68...69...70 , they're all equally great cars...some are just MORE "equal" than others! Derek [ proud member of CO's 69er club ]

Welcome Paul from another vet now living in Thailand (and commander of the local VFW Post). Nice 69. No cold weather here, can drive my baby all year long.

Yea, well, there aren't many places outside of the US where we can "talk Olds" or get good advice!

Woodward every year

I do Woodward every year and we park in the Dugan's / Pasquale's parking lot on friday. Saturday we park in old Birmingham near the 555 building. Not sure what I'm driving this coming year but anyone wanting to visit can send me private message and I'll give you my cell phone number. I have a 1964 Aqua Biscayne 409 car that I enjoy if the weather isn't to hot.

the weather outside is frightful......

Paul, I have had a fire going here for about the last 10 days now. The high today will be (drumroll please) 35 degrees about 17 tonight for a low. 1 good thing though I am burning some large cedar logs that I have had on my property and cut up that I can burn now after looking at for the last 5 years now. My wife hates fires in the fireplace so she doesn't often "let" me burn a fire but it has been plenty cold enough here now. So go throw another blanket on those cars I hear their bumpers shivering. Welcome Paul , very nice 69 you have there. We all love classic Olds but you mentioned a couple old cars? for one I love seeing all classic old cars especially if they have been restored to their former glory. What is your other car?

Other Cars

I was asked about my other cars ? not sure about posting pictures of non-olds on this forum. I buy, sell, restore, race and show cars. Anyway I have two other cars besides the 442, a 96 Corvette and a 64 aqua Biscayne 409. I was active with Corvette racing for many years and still do on occasion. I restored most of the Biscayne myself. Thanks for comments about my 442, Paul

Sweet 409!! I like lots of older cars as do a lot of guys on this site so it's acceptable to show guys pics of your other cars. as far as asking lots of questions about cars then it's pretty much Olds related stuff. I had a 66 Impala SS with a 325hsp 327 as a kid , my first real car.
