OLds I have owned

I am thrilled to find this site. Over 50 years of driving, I have been lucky enough to have some rare Oldsmobiles. First was a 54 Holiday 88 I had as a teenager in the early 60's. Next in 1969 was a White 64 Jetstar 88 with a 330, factory 4 speed trans, straight seat and no power accesories. The wife had to learn to use a screwdriver to unstick the Inland shifter from between gear positions. She was not amused. Next was a Blue 69 Cutlass 2 door HT with factory 4 speed, straight seat and a 350 2 bbl. Last was a new 77 Omega SX. Red hatchback, with white interior, and a white vinyl top. Beautiful car, but white interior was a bad choice with kids. I have never seen any other examples of these cars, and I wish too late to have any of them back.

Welcome

Welcome aboard

You sound like you've got the same problems most of us have.

Good for you.

Welcome Aboard, Many of us here on this site have been down that same road. We just try to justify it by telling ourselves that when we owned them they were just cars and for the most part we had no idea how rare they really were.

Even when you get something close to what you had...it is still only CLOSE TO what you had. Even if the cars get crushed, the memories will remain. So Griff, go out and buy a classic Oldsmobile and put some pictures up on the site.

Good to have you with us! You've had some great Old's , and can probably relive those memories through the great members on this , the world's best OLDS site. Likely there are folks here who owned those great models as well. Trust you're not freezing in Florida this week! Cheers, Derek

Pat,

For me, the fire is bordering on being out of control! At present I have 4 cars housed in a 3-car garage, and another I have to park on the street.
