Hi Everyone, I'm a new member from Dyer, Indiana. I have a 49 Olds Bubble Coupe. New to classic cars- thought this would be a great place to ask questions. Entered shows this summer and am enjoying the trophies! Having a great time so far. Bob

eBay is certainly one place to look.

Here's one right here:

Just do a search on "1957 Oldsmobile manual" and all sorts of things of possible interest pop up.

I noticed the mods as well, don't know if you would call them frenched but those headllights are recessed, and it looks like the door handles were shaved. Did you do the work or supervise it or buy the car already done? Lots of questions, sorry but inquiring minds need to know....

Welcome to CO.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome to the site. Some of the mods are 58 Corvette tail lights, shaved door handles, trunk and hood, frenched headlights middle front bumper was modified and there are four fins to fill in the middle. I'll post a picture--can't explain it. One piece windshield and rear window. Tilt steering wheel. Running gear is 79 Cadilliac Seville. Bought the car close to what you see. Shipped it from California. I'll post a couple of pictures--can't figure out how to create an album. I've had a lot of fun with this car, but am considering selling it and looking for another 49 or 50!

You all have some great looking cars. Like to hear more about them!

Very nice 49 ,I looked at one earlier in the year about possible purchase, but there was to much rust hiding under bondo.

Another Indiana member checking in here. I see you guys are from Dyer and Crown Point. I'm in St. John. Haven't been to the CP square yet, just found my car on Halloween. It's a gold 71 cutlass S pictured in the newbie section of this board.
When the cruise nights pick up again in the summer,I'll be there,so if you see my car, please stop by and introduce yourselfs.

Walter
