New Oldsmobile fan from Michigan

Just wanted to say hello, I have owned many oldsmobiles through the years. Presently I have a 65 Cutlass and 84 Hurst.

I have raced them, and played around on the street. The 65 is currently having a new motor installed. The 84 is apart having some repairs done(in storage waiting for me to have time).

Two reasons, One was the economy and second was more important. I had 2 disks repaired in my neck and doc said no racing or roller coasters for 5 years. Or until I feel like I could and with his approval.

I really miss that car. It was street legal and I loved to drive it on the street!! It would set off car alarms as I passed

I have been to every homecoming in Lansing. I live 1 mi from where they have it.

We'll have to hook up next summer, I work afternoons and 7 days a week right now.. but it slows up about February. I used to work 7 days year around, but the economy was slowed that up.

Too bad about the neck thing and I can feel what you went through. Sometime soon I have to get 2 discs removed from my neck and have 3 fused together , then doc is putting in a steel plate with screws to hold it all together.

Did you have a car there this year? - you must know the guy that used to live out by Williamston that had a gold colored Cutlass that he raced - he didn't live too far from me, but I never met him - I think you guys were parked together at the show at the old engine plant - this post has some pictures from this years show - https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-michigan.html - like to have my 65 done for next years show - got three cars I'm working on and with the economy the way it is they are all sitting idle!! - maybe I'll get lucky and hit the lottery this winter!!

I think it's become the American dream to win the lottery!! We play all the time. The state of Ohio hasn't been giving any money away for quite a while - we used to win $20 - $50 pretty often on scratch offs, now we're lucky to get $1!! I love scratch offs!!! My sister in Kansas sent me some for my birthday, and my old boss, Marc, who now lives in Georgia sent me some, and I send Ohio ones to them! It's fun. If we win, we just send back the tickets! When Marc and I worked together, he'd tell me I have a gambling problem. I said yea... I'm not winning!!! But we FINALLY got the Casino bill voted in yesterday!!! I'm excited!! Start building those babies!!! Cha-Ching!

See Benny Hill Video in the making.... it does make you wonder, doesn't it?? LOL!!

From your sig pic I can see you are the guy who was selling the Oldsmobile Bricks over on ROP. I'm not a member there, but lurk occasionally. Anyway, I caught you at the homecoming this year and grabbed a couple of bricks from you--thanks a bunch!
