Colorado Newbie

Good morning,

My name is Chris and my girlfriend and I have recently purchased a 1963 Dynamic 88 here is Colorado. We are both car enthuesiasts and have a total of 5 classic cars between us.

1962 Chevy Impala
1963 Olds Dynamic 88
1967 Chevelle
1973 Nova
1991 Mazda Minitruck

Looking forward to getting on here to share and gather information about the 63. She is definitely proving to be a challenging vehicle!

Thanks!

Is that your convertible Schwinn Pixie?

PS: I used to install stereo's for a few of the guys in the Imperials car club. Not sure if Gary Perez is still around with his four door rear door suicided 60 Impala. Denver has great lowrider roots.

Thank you! More to come with this car after we figure out the control arm bushing issues!

Yes it is. We scored that at a antique shop for cheap in late 2020. Took it all apart and cleaned it up. People get a kick out of it!

I'd have to say I haven't seen any Imperial guys out here. Definitely not a suicided 60 Impala too. Flat top car?? There's a decent lowrider scene out here. There can be a lot of drama too. I tend to stay away and attend a few selected shows.

Nice Grand Prix. 65? I had a 64. Loved that car.

I used to work on quite a few lowriders in the mid to late eighties. Early nineties. Gary Perez was a name out here. His car was in Lowrider magazine. Blue metallic 60 four door Impala. Rear doors were suicided. Had a mural of The Last Supper on the trunk lid. I will see if I can find pictures.

Nice rides! The wires look good on these cars. Once I get the control arm bushing issues figured out, bags or juice will be in the works.

Great! Yeah you're welcome. There is typically a meet here on the last Sat of each month weather permitting. Another close gathering worth attending is the one at The Vault in Parker. It's full of fun cars too.

I live in Parker and have driven past The Vault, seeing the cars out front. I didn't realize it was a regular happening. I'll have to make time to check it out! I joke with my wife that once my 4-4-2 is done, I'll have to get a "room" at the Vault. She says "Oh, no you don't! Then I'll never see you!"

I know about this one! A fellow club member with a Green Plymouth Duster goes to it a lot. This Saturday though, I'm already locked in for the Lincoln Tech 9th Annual car show. Should be a good one!

Yeah I don't go to many of the gatherings really. When I do go it's for 90 mins and then I've had enough. I spent allot of time on my cars building them and I would rather drive them then sit all day in the sun admiring them. I get bored too easy and am always busy working on something or driving my old classics.
