1975 Delta 88 royal covertable - power issue

Hey - I own a 1975 Delta 88 Royal convertible. The voltage light is staying on and my power top is not getting enough power to raise it up. The power windows are also slow going up. Would that be the voltage regulator going out? Thanks Jason

Possibly, but I would look at battery cables first and have the alternator checked as well. And, what condition is the battery itself in? It may have a bad cell. Lots of possibilities. Welcome to CO.

You can have your battery checked at your local auto parts store if you don't have a voltmeter at home.

Most auto parts stores can check out your alternator as well. Don't forget the bonding strap from the engine to the body. It often gets corroded and breaks and is easly missed as a problem

Good point. That happened to me once on a rainy day with the headlights on and the arc welded the AT shifter cable solid.
