Newbie with '76 Cutlass Cruiser

These 2 cars were purchased new in 1976 (wagon) and 1977 (sedan), both yellow. The man that bought them kept meticulous records for 43 year on both cars (even every trip documented, gas stops, mileage and town) and had them serviced at the same shop for 43 years and kept all the receipts. the last entry in the log book was Feb. 2019, a few months later, he died. Just sealed the deal on a wagon. Th sedan is a V6, and is still available. Cars are in Tampa Bay area.

Good Stuff ! Sounds like he was a great owner, the type of person most would wish to buy a car from. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations on your new to you Oldsmobile and welcome to the site.

PS so cool that the plates were only 1 digit off. Not sure I have ever met or seen anyone with multiple cars and sequential plates.

He was a snowbird and I have another pic of the pair with NC plates that somebody posted on FB in 2016, also one digit different.

Going to ask if the plates were saved or turned in... My guess is that they were turned in since this guy was by the book.

That is an awesome find. Too bad the pair have to be split up. Looks like it could have been a his & hers situation. Probably a lot of lost, family, history in those cars.

Good luck with your new wagon.

I'd be interested in the V6 sedan, can you let me know the price and contact info? I'll be in the Tampa area next month.
