G'Day

Hello From Australia
I have a small shop here in Perth WA and got a job doing a 58 Oldsmobile, she has a lot of issues and missing some body work/panels. So I joined this group for some tips and pics. look forward to chatting with you all. John Gilbert

Welcome to the site, great project. Parts for those are bit harder to come by. Whats the plan, stock or modified?

Welcome. We have a few members from Australia on here. Perhaps edit your profile to include your location. Many people will assume you are in the US and can just run to a junkyard or parts store. 1958's, either you love them or hate them.

Grant, the owner wants it stock. I never really noticed this model before and when I first saw it I fell in love with it. Profile updated thanks for the tip

As said above new old stock body parts for this model are just about impossible to find, Ebay may be your best bet for used body panels, chrome and other obsolete parts. For some reason 58's haven't been loved as much as other years so not much has been reproduced. Hard parts like engine and suspension and such share with other years so a lot of that is still around through various suppliers.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the vintage forum, that's where a lot of us fifties guys hang out. Good educated information given there, good people also..... Lost in the fifties ....Tedd
