Congrats on your 65. A great choice for a retirement car! They are a great driving/cruising car. Enjoy the restoration process and get ready for lots of looks and thumbs up when on the street, lol. Grab some chassis and body manuals, they are a big help. Post some pics when you get a chance!

Looks pretty good. What engine, tranny, etc does it have? What are your plans for the restoration, stock, modified, or?

Bassinguy, was that an original 4 speed? If so I'd imagine it is even more rare than a convert! Would love to have a 4 speed!!

Engine is a 330, tranny is currently stock but changing to a 200R4 soon. Plan is mostly stock with some upgrades. Once tranny is done, will get new 17 in wheels and tires followed by 4 wheel disk conversion and all new suspension..

As far as I can tell, yes it is original. No indications of it ever being an auto. Has a 4speed dash, steering column is correct, radiator is for a stick, hole in floor is a good clean cut, The car has the heavier frame like a 442 with the 4 holes for rear upper control arms. I tried to find out from G.M. about rarity ,but records don't go back that far. It is a fun car to drive with the 4 speed. Bassinguy
