Welcome to the site Duane! Do you have any pictures of your car that you can share with us? Are you restoring it to original or building a resto-rod?

started going original but the more i think about it, i might switch and retro mod the suspension and drivetrain. at this time the chassis is 100% done. had to take a break on it for a while so now i'm getting into the body work and floor and trunk replacement. soon as i figure out the picture process i will get some pics up.

Welcome to CO

Wow you have taken on quite a project. Looks like you have cut away as much as you have saved. Glad to see another Olds saved from the crusher

i actually bought it in this condition. the rolling chassis has already been completed with refreshed motor and trans, powder coated with all new front and rear suspension, brake and fuel lines. i still have a long way to go and i'm in no big hurry.

@69442murph... howdy neighbor. i grew up in newport where are you in campbell county?

Seems there's quite a few guys close by. I'm in Lexington, KY. And your in Florence Ya'll. I'm restoring 442 off frame. There's some great people on here. Couldn't have gotten as far as I have and have to go without them!

Duane - Welcome to the site from a former No. Ky resident. Grew up in Erlanger/Elsmere/Edgewood...miss that place! Spent most of my youth cruising Devou Park...lol. Your car looks like it has plenty of potential. Good Luck with it and keep us posted with progress and pics!

65droptop - I am in Alexandria, out past the new CC highschool.

Scoot442 - I also grew up in Erlanger / Elsmere. Small world. Where and when did you graduate?
I also spent alot of time in Devou Park, and still drive thru there occasionally to reminise! I used to take my W30 up there when I first bought it and hang out.

Cruised there a LOT in the 1970's, I had a gold with black stripe 1970 W30 in 1977. You had to wait in line to get thru Devou in the late 70's
What color was yours ? maybe I remember it.
