Hello From Abington, MA

Hello All.

I actually joined in 2013 looking for information on the 330 engines, but have never posted.

Thanks for letting me join so I could use the knowledge and info on the site.

Regards, Mike Howard.

Welcome Mike. You have been sitting on the sidelines for a while. As you have probably figured out, this is a great place for Oldsmobile folks. There is lots of knowledge here.

Yes, I believe so, it is just a recon mission at this point.

I picked up an incredibly clean 1931 Model A, and was looking for a small V8 that was not a 350 Chevy or 302 Ford for that matter, that would be a good candidate for a "Period Correct" 60's HotRod build.

I really liked the size and weight of the 330 package, and even though I am a "Ford Guy" I was drawn to the Oldsmobile probably because my Mom and Grandfather had them exclusively from the late 50's through the 70's.

Thanks again, Mike H.

Howdy Mike, I'm pretty new also, I'm building a '40 ****** coupe (f/glass) and wanted something kind of period correct.......... so I found a '72 455 shortblock and with the help of these guys I'm on my way. Lets see some pics of the A-bone, here's my chassis so far, building motor mounts.

I Bought a 31 Sedan basket case body and started over in April.

That is a cool project. Start a thread in the major builds section so others including myself, can follow along.
