Hey All,

I'm a new member as of about 10 minutes ago and just doing a newbie intro. Glad to see I'm not the only Olds fan. I'm the proud owner of a fixer upper 1975 Olds delta 88 Convertible. I've had it for about 3 years now and I've been slowly going through it and finally have it all running right. now I'm kinda seeking out some resources for parts and such to help me along.

Craig

Welcome! And as a southerner schooled not to purchase cars north of the Mason-Dixon, several purchases around Boston have proven that notion to be dead wrong in my Oldsmobile experience. This is one fantastic site. Very nice helpful folk!
Post some more pictures...

Craig, Welcome. Charlie Jones will probably drop by to invite you to be a Darksider.

Thanks guys, I just tossed up a couple pics to an album. I got really lucky with my Boston purchase. Straight body, old couple owned and fairly well maintained, but needed some TLC engine wise. I'm now into it for a new PS pump, rebuilt carb, new distributor, new water pump, belts, new stainless exhaust from shaved heads back, new shocks, new thermostat, new hoses, new etc etc etc.. luckily most of my parts are easy to find for the engine. I love the car.. and plan on getting her to be a really good condition driver, but I've put 14,000 miles on her since I got her, so I do like driving versus letting her collect dust. Right now I'm fighting with LED bulbs and my flasher to try and get a combo that lets me get the added brightness and allows me to signal.. (my current project)

Nice car. I had one just like it back in the 1990s. Sold it 2001.

My D88 came out from Dover, DE, an extremely well-cared for example. Welcome from another ragtopper!

Well, it's fitting then for mine.. as my second post was regarding a new top for her.. she's getting brittle and ragged.. I'm trying to find someone reputable in MA or at least New England to get it replaced.

Welcome!
That's a nice 'vert you've got, I'd toss in a couple of mine but they're not Oldsmobiles and wouldn't be welcome. But hey, there's nothing like owning a convertible, it's a whole different world from a coupe...a lot louder of a world!
