Hi All. Looking to buy a 71 Cutlass Supreme convertible. Can't seem to figure out the original colors (interior and ext.) from the tag. Not sure how you're doing it! Here is a pic of the tag. Any help would be appreciated, please!

The TR 989 is the trim code, which is Sandalwood Cloth Custom Sport Bench Seat (with armrest).

67 E PNT is the paint and convertible top code. 67 = Sienna and E = Sandalwood convertible top

 

Would a convertible have a Sandalwood cloth interior?

 

No, it wouldn't. According to the '71 dealer specs book, the sandalwood interior was not available on the Cutlass Supreme convertible. According to the tag decoder I used, TR 989 decodes as Sienna vinyl bench seat with armrest.

 

Thank you everyone. Very much appreciated. I don't think the deal's going to happen. Was told the engine was a 455 it looks like a gold 350 to me from the pics now that I know more. As well it was stated to have just 42,000 on it. A VIN look up that I paid 8 bucks for show that in '91 it sold with 93,000 on it! Dang!
