1964 Dynamic 88 New to Site

New to the website,
Don't know anyone that has a 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88. I have had my transmission and engine rebuilt on this car, brakes replaced new shocks new bushings and many more some chrome re-done. Just purchased olds hubcaps but cant find original stock rims if you can help locate I would appreciate the help. it wasn't easy trying to find people that know how to work and find parts for my car.
I have some extra parts that I have managed to acquire over the years as I worked on this car, some rear lights plus extra parts for another engine that I have. I will post later when I get a chance to take pictures. Please share a picture of your 64 Dynamic 88. Thanks.`

Welcome to the site, yes we do like pictures. Post a "Parts wanted" ad in the classifieds, perhaps one of the members can help you out.

yup, restoring my Olds hasn't been easy 9 years in the works.
a couple of deployments plus several mechanics finding parts and money have slowed me down.
I haven't given up.
My Olds runs really smooth now. still needs some body work and original rims to add my hubcaps to the original look.
I think I have called about 90% of Olds parts yards in the united states lol.

Hi welcome. I had a 64 88 convertible a few years ago but sold it to fund something new. Parts are hard to find so I know your struggle lol.

That is one nice ride I'm sure it wasn't easy to part with it.
Did you keep any old parts from the 64 ?

I still have my original stock hubcaps (but would be hard-pressed to give them up). These Fiestas are still riding the original 14" KH rims. Good luck on your search!

Is your D88 a Holiday? Mirror placement is a giveaway.

Looks like a nice one.

I have a set of factory 14 inch steel wheels but they are not for sale.

I bought a set of 15 inch steel wheels (Wheel Vintiques) and Olds dog dish caps to get more tire choices but keep a factory look.

Doesn't it have to be by default? All Oldsmobile hardtops, two or four-door, were called "Holiday".

His car is the one on this page from the '64 Olds brochure.

The four-door version was called Holiday Sedan.

Also, how does the mirror enter into it? The car in the ad above doesn't have one, and the outside rearview mirror was optional (for $4.51) on the '64 Dynamic 88. So a car could have been a Dynamic 88 Holiday Coupe and not have an outside mirror at all.

Welcome! Nice ride.

Hard to beat those early 60's era Oldsmobile cars, but I am prejudiced!
