Bear - 1962 Olds Dynamic 88

Hello all!

My wife and I just bought a "new to us" 1962 Olds Dynamic 88. One of the forum members, David Yaros has already been a big help.

I live in Porter, TX, which is just northeast of Houston. I grew up in the muscle car age and have finally got one for myself.
I wish I still had a few of the old cars I had when I was growing up.

Just wanted to say Hello! to everyone and tell you what a wonderful website you have here. Keep up the flow of information, lord knows I'll need it going forward!

Thanks

OHHH YEAHHH!

I love the 60s and 62s. I've never cared for the 61s though. You've got yourself a beauty. A road king for cruising during the summer months!

My wife wants to add 2-3/4" white walls and dog dish hubcaps. I'll post an updated pic once we do. Thanks

Welcome from the Hill Country. You've got a gorgeous car.

When you go for a summer cruise, come visit the cooler altitudes!

I'd love to see that beauty in person.

Dave,
The car originally came from Arizona, but I bought it from a guy in Trinity, Tx. The guy in Trinity was Gregg Tyler. Not sure about the one in Arizona.

Love the car!! 62 was the first year of narrower white walls, about 1 1/2 inches wide I think. IMHO I'd stick with the narrow whites and full wheel covers. Way too classy a car to wear dog dishes.

Thanks,
That color is actually Chariot Red, came out in August of 1961. According to the plate, it was the original color of the car.

Nothing beats a bright red Olds convertible. Course I might be prejudiced lol.
I love the white interior.
